CONSTITUTION
PARTY CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE DAN FRANK INVITED TO WGAL-TV ROUND
TABLE DISCUSSION
INCUMBENT
PITTS FAILS TO CONFIRM PARTICIPATION
LANCASTER
COUNTY, PA - Constitution Party candidate Dan Frank has accepted
an invitation from WGAL-TV to a join a 16th U.S. Congressional
District roundtable discussion on Tuesday, September 23rd at
12:30 PM. Joining Frank at the WGAL-TV Round Table Discussion
will be Democrat Bruce Slater and Independent John Murphy. Conspicuously
absent from the list of confirmed attendees is Republican incumbent
Joseph Pitts. As late as Wednesday, September 17th, Pitts, who
has a 97% record of voting with the Bush administration, has
not even given WGAL-TV the courtesy of a confirmation.
"I
am excited at that prospect of discussing the pressing issues
of the upcoming election with my fellow candidates", said
Frank. "I am thankful that WGAL-TV has recognized the importance
of Third Party candidates to the electoral process."
During
his tenure in the House of Representatives, Mr. Pitts has supported
every so-called free trade agreement and increasing H1B Visas,
both causing serious damage to the American work force, even
at a time when our economy is in peril. "I do not believe
in throwing the American worker out on the street and making
them compete with cheap foreign labor in the name of so-called
free trade, Mr. Pitts talks about 'zero sum understanding' on
free trade, perhaps he can explain this to folks who have lost
their jobs and to the folks facing this possibility" lamented
Frank.
Mr.
Pitts has also voted in favor of squelching our civil liberties
under both the USA Patriot Act and the Military Commissions
Act. Mr. Pitts is now seeking his seventh term; however, he
has broken his pledge to serve only five.
Dan Frank on the other hand is looking to infuse some new blood
into Washington. Frank has been endorsed by Constitution Party
Presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin. Recently elected the Vice-Chairman
of the Lancaster County Committee of the Constitution Party,
Frank is dedicated to representing the needs and concerns of
all of the people of Lancaster County. Frank's core values are
keeping jobs in America, reigning in government spending and
keeping America safe at home by securing our borders now.
Frank
concluded, "Apparently free elections are like free trade,
raise $500,000 from special interest, then there is no need
to go through the democratic process of debating, the seat has
already been purchased."
